About Me
My name is Gabriel de Castro. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Ecological Economics at the Federal University of Ceará (Brazil).
Throughout my personal trajectory, I have dedicated myself to research, teaching, and scientific competitions. During my senior year, I was elected to be a board director of the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE) – an acknowledgement of my international leadership potential within the field.
I want to further specialize in environmental management strategies towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To fulfill this aspiration, I applied to three international European Master’s programs and got Erasmus Mundus Scholarship offers -- one of the most renowned and coveted in the world -- from each of them!
Now, with your help, I will be able to attend three prestigious universities in Austria, Greece, and Sweden!
The Program
MESPOM is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management. It is unique in that studies take place at 4 different universities within Europe. This is an incredible opportunity to learn a multi-disciplinary approach to environmental change and action.

Why I Need Your Help!
The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship fully covers tuition fees and also grants me a monthly stipend of €1400 from September 30, 2024 onwards.
However, I must pay for all the costs prior to that. These amount to 4.200 Euros, and the current BRL:EUR exchange rate is 6:1.
Therefore, I will need to spend a year’s worth of my current monthly income! I cannot do it on my own, so I kindly ask for your contribution!
